Attorney Profile
Since 1988, Patricia “Patsy” Scoles has offered legal representation and administration in the areas of estate planning, trusts, wills, and legal issues regarding real estate, incorporations and small business entities. She began her career as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles, California; bringing criminal matters before the court in more than 65 jury trials. Her decisive, straightforward approach and preference for mediation between parties involved has resulted in less litigation liability and expense that is typically related to lawsuits.
The relocation to San Luis Obispo County in 1998 and formation of The Law Offices of Patricia M. Scoles resulted in an emphasis on civil law, particularly estate planning, real estate and small business entity advice. Ms. Scoles earned her Juris Doctorate in 1988 from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California, a B.A. in History in 1981 from California State University Northridge and later admitted to the California Bar in 1988; United States District Court, Central District of California in 1989.
